Ankur Scientific now offers an innovative Gasification technology for converting Waste Tyres into a Combustible Gas which could be either used for Thermal / Process Heat Applications or for Power Generation with by product possibilities of Charcoal / Char and Metal wires.

The tyres to be used in the specifically designed Gasifier would need to be sized as shown in the picture below, with indicative properties as follows:

  • Moisture Content (wet basis) - 2.0 %
  • Volatile Matter (dry basis) - 65.5 %
  • Ash Content (dry basis) - 7.0 %
  • Fixed Carbon (dry basis) - 27.5 %
  • Calorific Value - 7400 Kcal/kg
  • Size ( Length X Width X Thickness) - Approx. 55 mm X 40 mm X 8 mm
  • Cold Gas Efficiency - 73 %
  • Dry Discharge - 15 to 20%
  • Specific Gas Generation rate - 4 to 4.5 Nm3 /kg

The Producer gas generated from the Gasifier will have the following composition / properties:
