Journey started 5 years ago by associating with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USA.
The technology is called Omni Processor, developed in US but indigenised by us as per Indian context and integrated with MSW treatment.
ANKUR Fecal Waste Processor works on thermal mode and converts fecal sludge into energy and purified water.
It is a decentralized treatment plant which reduces fecal sludge volume by 97% in 6-8 hrs. upon its arrival at the Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP).
First plant is installed for Vadodara Municipal Corporation in one of the STP in Vadodara city, India. The project is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USA.
Second plant is under execution in Rohingya Camps for Government of Bangladesh. The project is funded by Asian Development Bank.
Why Online Thermal FSTP?
An solution for non sewered locations – waste can be brought in vacuum trucks and can be treated almost online.
Fecal Sludge is pasteurized at 100 Deg. C to kill 100% pathogens.
Incoming sludge gets reduced to 97% by weight just in 6-8 hrs.
System is Energy and Water Neutral.
Meets all emission norms.
Low foot print.
Completely automated system with no manual intervention.
Only solid waste generated is biochar which is beneficial for soil.
With MSW co-treatment allows both solid and liquid waste to be treated at the same location.
